Jen & I have been best friends since Kindergarten. Between the family trips, my mom would babysit her and her brother and vice versa, and the countless sleepovers - we basically grew up together.

Unfortunately, Jen moved to Winnipeg for work, but was coming home with her boyfriend (now fiancé) and we had planned a little photoshoot at Sandbanks Provincial Park for when they were home.

Now picture this... Im at the barn, in my gross plaid jacket doing my chores and I get a message from her boyfriend (Dillon) asking for my number. My jaw DROPPED. I screamed and ran to Jordan because I knew what his meant. Sure enough he sends me a message asking my opinion.. ON THE RING. It was absolutely gorgeous. We immediately started planning.

The day of the proposal I was so nervous, and I mean more nervous than I have ever been for a shoot. Dillon slipped me the ring when we met them at our cars and we began our walk to the beach. I took some pre- engagement photos to get them loosened up (this was also their very first photoshoot as a couple). I then had to sneak Dillon the ring to put back into his pocket and we had the pose planned ahead of time that I was going to put them in, it was like our secret code word.

The proposal went amazing. Jen was absolutely shocked. and I was so so grateful to be included in this special moment of Jens life.

The end.
